Day 1: Vilnius
Fly to Vilnius and be welcomed at the airport by your English-speaking tour guide. Drive with a modern minibus to the hotel. Check in and overnight stay.
Day 2: Vilnius – Trakai – Vilnius
Enjoy the Vilnius sightseeing tour with your guide, which includes visits to the medieval, as well as modern parts of the city. Sights that you will visit on the tour: the University, the current large Gothic church with Baroque and Renaissance elements, the church of St. Anne, the Cathedral, which separates the old town from the new town, Gediminas hill, which offers breath-taking views of the city, the church of St. Peter and St. Paul and much more. In the afternoon, travel with your guide to Trakai. Trakai was the former medieval capital in the 14th century. The central monument is the Gothic castle, built on the island of Lake “Galve”. Restored in the mid-twentieth century, this red brick castle is unique in Eastern Europe. Travel back to Vilnius in the evening. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 3: Vilnius – Kaunas – Klaipeda
After breakfast, travel with your guide to Kaunas - the City of Green Hills and Medieval Churches. Sights, that you will visit on the tour: Town Hall Square, Church of the Holy Trinity, The House of Perkūnas, Kaunas Castle, The Church of Vytautas, Žaliakalnis Funicular, Pažaislis monastery and many more. The journey continues to Klaipeda, where you will visit the small charming old town with its Theatre Square dominated by the statue of a girl Ann from Tharau, narrow alleyways with attractive courtyards and art galleries. Check in and overnight stay at the Hotel in Klaipeda.
Day 4: Day tour to Curonian Spit
Today you will be taken to the beautiful, magical Curonian Spit, which is known for its unspoilt nature with huge moving sand dunes, thatched fishermen's houses, endless sandy beaches. In the village of Nida you will visit the High Dune with Sundial, the Evangelical church with ethnographic cemetery, the famous Thomas Mann House. Short Hike through the nature reserve with its buried under sand villages and the unique beauty of the Dead Dunes. In the village of Juodkrante you will explore the cormorant colony, the legendary Hill of Witches and the Amber bay. Travel back to Klaipeda. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 5: Klaipeda - Siauliai – Rundale – Riga
After the breakfast, depart to Riga. Before you will cross the Lithuanian/Latvian border, visit the Hill of Crosses - an atmospheric place of pilgrimage. This place is unique in the world, so a visit there is a must. The journey continues to the Rundale Palace - former residence of the Duke of Courland and one of the most amazing Baroque Palaces in Baltic States. In the afternoon, arrive in Riga. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Riga
Today you will get to know wonderful capital of Latvia. You will travel to Riga and take a walking tour with your guide through the medieval old town. Here you will visit the cathedral, the Large and Small Guild, the Swedish Gate in the old fortress wall and admire the many Art Nouveau buildings. In the afternoon – possibility of visiting to the great market halls of Riga (Zeppelin halls) with tasting of Latvian specialties. Spend the evening at your leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Riga.
Day 7: Day tour to Gauja National Park
After breakfast, travel with your guide to the wonderful Gauja National Park. Visit the beautiful town of Sigulda, Latvia’s winter capital, known locally as the Switzerland of Latvia. Here you will visit the Turaida Museum Reserve including the 13th century German Knights’ Castle and Gutmanis Cave, the deepest cave in the Baltics, located on the Gauja riverbank, the lake castle Araisi - the only reconstruction of a 9th-10th century fortified settlement. Continue to the former Hanseatic City Cesis. Opportunity for a lunch in a historical ancient manor house. Overnight stay at the hotel in Riga.
Day 8: Riga. Departure.
Spend the morning at your leisure. Transfer to the Airport. Departure.
